The major sites of Indus valley civilization --

Surkotda

surkotda is one of the major sites of Indus valley civilization. We all know that The Indus valley civilization was a bronze age civilization which was technological advanced urban culture.Among other names for this civilization is the Harappan civilization ,in reference to its first excavated city of Harappa. More than 100 sites belonging to this civilization have been excavated. According to radio carbon dating it spared from the year 2500-1750 BC.

Excavations at the site have led to following specific findings:

Surkotda situated in katch (bhuj) district in Gujarat. Surkota is important particulary because it has provided the first actual remains of horse bones.

Ropar

Ropar  is one of the major sites of Indus valley civilization. We all know that The Indus valley civilization was a bronze age civilization which was advanced urban culture. Among other names for this civilization is the Harappan civilization ,in reference to its first excavated city of Harappa. More than 100 sites belonging to this civilization have been excavated. According to radio carbon dating it spared from the year 2500-1750 BC.

Excavations at the site have led to following specific findings:

Ropar situated in Punjab. In ropar we found an evidence of burying a dog below the human burial .

Chanhu daro

Chanhu daro is one of the major sites of Indus valley civilization. We all know that The Indus valley civilization was a bronze age civilization which was advanced urban culture. Among other names for this civilization is the Harappan civilization ,in reference to its first excavated city of Harappa. More than 100 sites belonging to this civilization have been excavated. According to radio carbon dating it spared from the year 2500-1750 BC.

Excavations at the site have led to following specific findings:

 Chanhu daro was found at Sindh in Pakistan. Chanhu daro  is especially important for providing evidences about different harrappan factories, these factories produced seals ,toys and bone implements. chanhu daro  was the only harappan city without a citadel some remarkable findings at chanho daro include bronze figures of bullock cart and ekkas.

Banwali

Banwali is one of the major sites of Indus valley civilization. We all know that The Indus valley civilization was a bronze age civilization which was advanced urban culture. Among other names for this civilization is the Harappan civilization ,in reference to its first excavated city of Harappa. More than 100 sites belonging to this civilization have been excavated. According to radio carbon dating it spared from the year 2500-1750 BC.

Excavations at the site have led to following specific findings:

Banwali at Haryana in india.,situated in hissar district of Haryana,banwali. In banwali  grid pattern of town planning was found which was not always followed as in other  harappan sites.here in banwali the roads were neither always straight,nor did they cut at right angles. Banwali also lacked another remarked feature of the harappan civilization a Systematic Drainage system
